Our client is a fast-growing, leading provider of paper for the digital and traditional printing markets. To continue driving that growth, the company’s CEO now seeks a highly skilled individual to lead energy savings and major capital projects throughout the mill. The Energy & Capital Projects Manager will be responsible for driving cost reduction activities by facilitating energy conservation and demand reduction activities at the mill as well as managing major capital projects. The leader in this role will be responsible for aspects of energy management for the facility and will have a track record of success in a fast-paced, capital-intensive production environment – ideally in major manufacturing facilities. The Energy & Capital Projects Manager will have a solid technical background and a demonstrated ability to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness by identifying opportunities to decrease energy consumption and cost. The ideal candidate has five to 10 years of energy and / or capital projects experience in a pulp and paper manufacturing or industrial manufacturing environment, as well as a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical engineering preferred). Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Professional Engineer (PE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) designations are a plus.
