It is the most complete, well documented and closely managed of all of the people I have ever worked with; specifically:

  • The specification process takes a good deal more time on the front end, but by the time you are done, you have the position skills, attributes and critical skills really well defined. You are not going to spend a bunch of time screening folks “who are close”. Any of the candidates I have been presented are capable, qualified and suited for the position we are seeking to fill.
  • The number of people that are researched and qualified are not only terrific, they are documented so that you know who they are speaking with, why they meet or don’t meet the specification. Charles Aris also provides a weekly reporting structure for you to use in reporting back to the board on how the search is progressing. Priceless!
  • The care and documentation that goes into the presentation of the short list is excellent. Beyond the comparison of the candidates, the transcribed interviews with the references are invaluable to getting a read on the individuals presented. This is a bundle of documents that you can really do a deep dive with on your terms, an item that is more typically summarized in a phone conversation and a candidate write up. This is by far the most detailed and complete documentation process that I have ever seen.
