Chief Executive Officer
Chad Oakley serves as the CEO of Charles Aris Inc. and as the company’s primary practice leader for Strategy & Corporate Development with an industry focus on Consumer Packaged Goods, Industrial Manufacturing and Financial Services.
Prior to joining Charles Aris, Chad worked as a consultant and case team leader in the Boston practice of Bain & Company. At Bain, he focused on solving strategic challenges for clients in a number of industries including software, telecommunications, optical networking, manufacturing and financial services.
Before his time with Bain, Chad earned an MBA degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. During business school, Chad spent a summer at Nabisco as a summer associate for the Oreo Cookie portfolio. Prior to business school, Chad served as a business analyst in the Philadelphia practice of Deloitte Consulting, where he focused on industries such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals in addition to oil and gas.
Chad also holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from North Carolina State University.
He met his wife, Mindy, at Wharton and together they have three wonderful children. Chad enjoys playing golf and the occasional trek up to Boston for a night of baseball at Fenway Park.
Chad is a proud member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (Southern Seven chapter) and of Vistage CE group 3631.

2019 Strategy Consulting Compensation Study: Over the course of Q4 2018, Charles Aris team members surveyed more than 1,480 people, 528 of whom are current strategy consultants. More than half of those individuals are current Big Three consultants for McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company. All compensation points were collected anonymously and in compliance with pay equity laws currently in effect around the United States and U.S. territories. 2018 Mid-Year Offer Report: During the first half of 2018, Charles Aris coordinated more than 45 offers to strategy consultants. This report includes a sampling of the offers and the subsequent results. Each offer includes five components: title, base salary, equity, annual bonus and sign-on. Also included is the type of entity extending the offer, as well as the consulting firm at which the candidate was employed.
