Julia Opaleski is an associate practice leader that primarily focuses her recruiting efforts in the Strategy & Corporate Development function and Consumer / Retail industry.

Julia earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and environmental science at Guilford College, where she conducted various independent research studies on techniques to build rapport; how nature affects mental health; and the future of North Carolina’s Barrier Island ecology and development. She also spent her time at Guilford College working in the Office of Admission as a tour guide, as the campus visit coordinator for prospective students, and as an intern for the Office of Alumni Relations.

Prior to joining the team at Charles Aris, Julia worked with the Greensboro Parks & Recreation department at Lake Brandt Marina, where she led paddle tours and hikes as a lake activity specialist. She also was heavily involved with Greensboro’s ECO Bus initiative, “Engaging the Community with the Outdoors” as an environmental educator.

Outside of the office, you can find Julia exploring North Carolina from the mountains to the coast, helping out at her family’s flower shop, and enjoying a good laugh.
