TJ Deal is the chief growth officer of Charles Aris Inc. and is responsible for leading organic and inorganic growth strategy and execution.
After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 2014, TJ began his career as an associate recruiter at the firm. He then went on to start the Corporate Development Practice in 2019, which has since become the industry’s largest such practice, and was a founding member of the Washington, D.C. office.
In 2023, he became the firm’s managing director and captained the historic merger between the corporate development, finance and accounting verticals (today known as the Finance & Corporate Development Practice). He then led the combined practice until being promoted to his current position in 2025.
TJ lives in Pinehurst, North Carolina with his wife Erinn and their two doodles, Archie and Reggie. He enjoys skiing, rowing and rooting on his favorite sports teams: St. Louis Blues, Chelsea and the Washington Commanders.
TJ says his transition to CGO has been an organic evolution, and he is excited to help Charles Aris grow and develop far into the future.
