Charles Aris launches contingency search business: Aris Amplify
Charles Aris Inc. announced the launch of Aris Amplify in January 2025, a new business dedicated to contingency search projects.
Aris Amplify will operate as a separate entity from Charles Aris Executive Search while leveraging shared resources, including research, marketing, recruiting technologies and the extensive professional network Charles Aris built over five decades.
“We’ve wanted to open a contingency firm for years,” said Charles Aris President & COO Allen Oakley. “Now, we have the resources and team to make this business a real success.”
Oakley, along with Chief Growth Officer TJ Deal, played key roles in developing the new business, and together they brought in experienced recruiter Kim Shapiro in late 2024 to serve as Aris Amplify’s executive director.
“I am beyond excited to lead our contingent search business,” Shapiro said. “It’s a privilege to support the Charles Aris team and our clients while continuing our 56-year legacy of excellence.”
Aris Amplify’s launch also marks a return to the firm’s contingency search roots. Founder & Chairman Mitch Oakley established Charles Aris in 1969 as a Management Recruiters International franchise.
The successful franchise operated under a contingency model until 2002, when the firm rebranded as Charles Aris Executive Search and pivoted to a fully retained model.
While Charles Aris Executive Search will continue to focus on retained executive placements, Aris Amplify will specialize in middle- and senior-level hiring solutions.
The team’s current practice areas include:
- Finance & Accounting
- Sales & Marketing
- Executive Support & Human Resources
- Engineering & Operations
