The Controller is responsible for leading all accounting, financial reporting and control functions across a multi-entity and franchise-based organization, with oversight of monthly close, consolidated financial reporting, GAAP compliance and internal controls. This role manages core accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger, month-end close, payroll and financial statement preparation, while also supporting franchise revenue accounting, unit-level performance reporting and cross-functional financial visibility across both corporate and franchise operations. The ideal candidate brings strong general accounting expertise, experience building processes and implementing scalable systems and the ability to develop effective partnerships with teams outside of accounting, including operations, HR and executive leadership. Experience within a franchise environment, preferably childcare, is highly preferred and exposure to private equity-backed organizations is a plus. Additional strengths include process improvement, multi-entity reporting, consolidations, technical accounting knowledge and the ability to support audits, acquisitions and growth initiatives. A CPA is preferred but not required.
